We understand that choice of materials and brands is just as important as the methods of the installer. That is why we only work with the materials suppliers we know and trust. Then combine that with people who really care, people who want to maintain a good name in the Kalamazoo & Portage area and you have us.
If properly maintained, wooden fences will look magnificent for many years, and at a price point unmatched by concrete and composite, it is the most popular choice by most people still today. We recommend a coating with Sikkens Cetol SRD every two years.
As the old saying goes, high walls make for good neighbors. Many companies in our area can build you a privacy fence, but we’re able to offer you a wider selection in styles and materials than our competitors, and we will lay a better foundation, keeping the fence exactly where it is when we leave for years ahead. We’re able to offer a 5-year limited warranty to back up our claims.
These are becoming extremely popular all across America because they are at an ideal point between price and durability. In addition, they have a unique appearance from typical fences and because they can be filled with different kinds of stones, there is a style out there for everyone. These walls have the advantage against water compared to other systems as well, able to withstand constantly moist conditions for several years and because of this these are becoming popular for their durability. Vines can also be grown onto the sides of these fences without affecting its durability.
Metal fences allow sunlight to come through and provide an unobstructed view of the area. Aluminum is the most popular type of metal fence as it can hold up for many years against the brutal Michigan weather.
These walls are noted for their sound deadening capabilities and ability to grow vines on them without destroying them.

We do things that others leave out. Although we’re not the cheapest company in town, we’re well-known to be a good value because we tend to build everything on overkill standards because we like what we do, and because we care about what we put our name on. Only good companies stand the test of time, and we plan to be in the Kalamazoo area for a very long time.
Generally speaking, we advise our customers not to choose a wooden fence unless A)they really really like the look of wood and B)they are prepared to stain it with oil-based semi-transparent stain every 3 years maximum.
Dogs are very good escape artists and over the years we have even seen them manipulate the gate mechanism on fences to get out, so it’s hard to say. As far as digging, it’s a good idea to have at leave a 1.5 foot concrete pad underneath the fence or have us install part of the new fence below grade if you believe your dog is particularly motivated to roam free.
Wooden fences if properly maintained should last 20-30 years. Aluminum fences should last at least 40 years. Composite fences should last at least 30 years. We are unsure of how long cement fences will last because the new methods with which they are produced is new and untested.
